Photography and drama have always been two great passions in my life. My love of the later led to a degree in Theatre from Glasgow University. It was during this time that I started to photograph productions and create publicity images and before long I found myself working with a number of professional theatre and opera companies. I have also produced 2 theatre-based exhibitions, one of which was bought by the Scottish National Portrait Gallery.
Since then, I have branched out into other types of work, though my background in the theatre continues to be an influence, giving me a unique perspective when shooting other types of subjects.
Over the years I have picked up a few awards including 6 International Photographic Awards and 12 Scottish awards, as well as Scottish Press & PR Photographer of the year 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009. I am an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (A.B.I.P.P.) and the Royal Photographic Society (A.R.P.S.) as well as founder of the Commercial Photographers Network.
Regular clients will already be well aquainted with Roberto, who has been covering PR shoots for me when I’ve been too busy to take them on myself. This has proved to be very successful as clients can always be assured of getting a very experienced and reliable photographer, often at short notice.
Roberto is originally from Santiago in Chile and graduated with a degree in photography from Napier University in 1991. Since then he has been specialising in editorial, PR and press photography. His commissions include work for the Herald, The Glaswegian, The Sunday Post and Glasgow Rangers magazine as well as corporate work for clients such as Price Waterhouse Coopers, Glasgow City Council and Renfrewshire Council.
